Katherine Heigl has officially lined up her next television role, and it’ll find the actress returning to CBS.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Katherine Heigl has officially signed on to star in and serve as executive producer on a brand new comedy for CBS.

Titled Our House, the new series would find Heigl playing a devoted mother named Bridget working together with her husband (Timeless star Malcolm Barrett) to raise their children with the love and support she never got growing up.

Raising kids can be tough, but things get even more complicated when Bridget and her husband decide to move the family back into her childhood home.

Having her crazy parents, plus her siblings back in the picture won’t be easy — especially given the fact that Bridget’s parenting style is very different from that of her own parents!

Written by Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates scribe Brendan O’Brien, the series is also being executive produced by Nick Stoller and Conor Welsh.

Heigl’s role on Our House marks the actress’ first foray into 30-minute sitcom territory, but not her first rodeo at CBS.

Previously, the Grey’s Anatomy alum starred in the network’s 2017 drama Doubt, where she played a successful defense lawyer who ends up becoming romantically involved with one of her clients.

As of right now, CBS has given Our House a pilot order, meaning there’s currently no word on whether or not the network will include it as part of their forthcoming 2019/2020 television slate.

Our House aside, Heigl can currently be seen playing the role of Samantha Wheeler in the ninth and final season of Suits on USA.
