Universal has announced the new Jurassic Park 4 release date and revealed a new title on Tuesday evening.

Jurassic World will be released June 12, 2015, according to the studio in a statement. As previously announced, the film will be directed by Colin Trevorrow.

A new logo was unveiled tonight with the new title:

Related: 2015 may be the biggest year for movies ever.

The film had been scheduled for an opening in 2014, but after production delays, Universal decided to postpone its release in May.

In May we also saw that the director had visited the original island used for Isla Nublar, suggesting the storyline may return to that classic location seen in the original Jurassic Park.

The title is particularly interesting. The name Jurassic World obviously has different connotations than Jurassic Park, something that was included in all of the previous movies. In the three Jurassic Park movies, dinosaurs existed within the parks, but the new title seems to suggest that they will roam the entire Earth.

This is a really interesting and exciting possibility, as it allows for it not only to be a reboot as was announced a while back, but it also can still be a continuation that would allow for some of the original cast members to return to the new movie.
