Looks like Jude Law may be the first big star to board Disney’s Peter Pan & Wendy.

A brand new live-action adaptation of Peter Pan has been in the works over at Disney for the past few years, but it seems as though production on the project is finally beginning to pick up some steam.

Now, it seems as if Disney may have just found its Captain Hook in none other than Jude Law.

According to Variety, Law is currently in talks to play Peter Pan’s infamous foe in the latest live-action adaptation of author J.M. Barrie’s classic children’s novel.

If he signs on for the role, he’ll be joining previously announced cast members Ever Anderson and Alexander Moloney.

Anderson and Moloney, who’s casting was announced back in March, have officially been tapped to portray Wendy Darling and Peter Pan, respectively.

Behind the camera, Disney has enlisted David Lowery to direct. Lowery is no stranger to live-action adaptations. In fact, the director previously helmed the studio’s 2016 live-action adaptation of Pete’s Dragon starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford.

Just as he did with Pete’s Dragon, Lowery will once again be pulling double duty on Peter Pan & Wendy by serving as one of the film’s two screenwriters. He’ll be working alongside Toby Halbrooks to pen the script for the film about the boy who never grows up.

Currently, there’s no word with regards to when we can expect Peter Pan & Wendy to fly into theaters.
