The Creative Arts Emmys are doling out award’s and Marvel’s Jessica Jones Netflix Original Series just picked up a win!
Jessica Jones debuted its first season on Netflix in November of 2015 and fans praised it for its kickass female superhero and the complete change in tone from Daredevil. Jessica Jones didn’t feel like a repetition of what we’d already seen from its predecessor, and fans fell in love with a whole new set of characters.
Plus it had those cool opening credits with that awesome music.
Turns out fans weren’t the only ones who thought Jessica Jones had a killer opening. The show just picked up an award for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music at the Creative Arts Emmys.
This marks Marvel Television’s first Emmy to date, and considering Daredevil was such a success when it premiered in April of 2015, that’s something they should certainly be proud of.

The slate is pretty full for Marvel and Netflix at the moment. Luke Cage doesn’t premiere Sept. 30, but you can watch the latest trailer here.
Tonight, we also learned that The Punisher has cast Ben Barnes as a series regular. We also have some thoughts on what this casting might mean for the show.
Jessica Jones season 2 will debut in 2018, after The Defenders has premiered sometime next year.
