It looks like Jennifer Lopez is about to bring another delightful rom com to the big screen!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Lopez has officially signed on to star in a brand new romantic comedy called Marry Me.

The project finds Lopez re-teaming with STXfilms who also produced the actress and singer’s latest big screen rom com, Second Act.

Based Bobby Crosby’s graphic novel of the same name, Marry Me finds Lopez playing a pop super star gearing up to tie-the-knot at one of New York City’s most high profile music venues: Madison Square Garden.

When she finds out her rockstar fiancee has actually been cheating on her with her assistant moments before they’re about to walk down the aisle, the pop star panics and picks a random math teacher standing in the crowd to marry instead.

Poised to play leading man opposite Lopez is none other than Owen Wilson who is in final negotiations to join the cast. If he signs on, Wilson will be playing the math teacher in question.

Behind the scenes, Kat Corio (best known for helming television series like It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) will serve as director on Marry Me.

Corio will be directing from a script originally written by John Rogers and Tami Sagher, with a rewrite penned by Harper Dill.

There’s currently no word on when we can expect Marry Me to hit the big screen.
