At a concert recently, Jared Leto was on stage with his band when a heckler started going at him. So, what did the Suicide Squad actor do? He reportedly used the voice he plans on using for The Joker in his upcoming villainous comic book role.

There have been a couple of rumors that Jared Leto has been teasing his Joker voice at concerts for his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, but this one is pretty convincing. While he talks down a heckler, he changes his voice dramatically, and starts almost sounding like he’s reciting dialogue from the film.

If you’re sensitive to harsh language, be advised that Leto does use some language which some readers could find inappropriate. Check out possibly our first look at Leto speaking like The Joker in two shots. In the second video Leto says, “On this song, you’re going to get really, really, crazy….” In a very Joker-esq voice, so we’re thinking he’s laying down the hints thick, and we’re loving it.

It’s impossible to know if this is the voice that we’ll be hearing in Suicide Squad, but Leto definitely went into a very unique voice as he got back at the crowd member who was heckling him and his band.

He recently revealed that he’s incredibly excited to take on the challenging role of the Joker, and said, “The opportunity to take on this nearly Shakespearean character — that’s what graphic novels and comic books are becoming, right? [He’s] this beautiful disaster of a character — what a big challenge.”

His description of the character made it sound like they’ll be going for something new, and we feel like this film could be very unique in a time where superheroes have become a bit stale due to the fact that we’re seeing so many of them come out. The great thing is, Suicide Squad will see a pack of super villains teaming up, which is something that hasn’t been done before.
