Looks like Jaimie Alexander could be gearing up to join the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder.

According to Deadline, actress Jaimie Alexander could soon be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Specifically, it’s looking like Alexander will be reprising her role as Lady Sif for Thor fourth installment of the franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder.

For those who need a bit of a refresher, Sif is an Asgardian warrior and also a good friend of the God of Thunder himself. Despite being close with Thor, however, she hasn’t been seen on the big screen since 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. However, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans will likely recall that Lady Sif did, in fact, make an appearance on the series’s second season.

Sif’s absence from the MCU has mostly come down to scheduling conflicts for actors Jaimie Alexander, who was kept busy starring in NBC’s Blindspot, which is why she wasn’t able to return for Ragnarok.

To that extent, the fact that she might be making an appearance as part of Thor: Love and Thunder should be cause for excitement for fans who’ve been itching to see her team up with her old Asgardian pals.

Marvel has yet to confirm rumors of Alexander’s involvement in the fourth Thor movie, so it looks like we’ll just have to sit tight and wait for official word.

Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Christian Bale, Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
