On the heels of casting Twilight actress Mackenzie Foy this morning, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar has cast John Lithgow and Ellen Burstyn, among others.

The Wrap is reporting that a source close to Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar has revealed to them that John Lithgow will be joining the stellar cast.

Paramount and Nolan refused comment, and Lithgow’s people have not responded as of yet, but as there have been quite a few casting announcements for this film in the past 24 hours, we don’t have any reason to believe that this report is false.

Speaking of Interstellar casting announcements, The Wrap also broke a few more earlier today. Oscar award winning actress Ellen Burstyn will be joining the cast along with Rachel Getting Married star Bill Irwin and Homeland actor Timothee Chalamet. They’ll join Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, and Casey Affleck – a very impressive cast.

As we previously told you, Interstellar “centers on the discovery of an energy source from the Hawking radiation from a nearby black hole. Extra-dimensional beings that control the black hole may also exist in the plot. Several plot points are allusions to general relativity and parts of Thorne’s research, including the gravitational red shift that occurs when the character is close to the vicinity of the black hole.” Nolan is known for his films making you think (see: Inception, Memento, The Prestige), so this sounds like him.

Interstellar is set to be released on November 7, 2014.

Do these casting announcements make you even more excited for ‘Interstellar’?
