Christopher Nolan’s next big film is a sci-fi movie called Interstellar. Today, it was given a release date!
Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. will be co-producing and distributing Nolan’s next film, Interstellar. It’ll be released in just over 1.5 years, on November 7, 2014 in theaters and IMAX. Nolan wrote the script and is now officially confirmed to direct, and it’s based off of a script Christopher’s brother, Jonathan Nolan, wrote. Originally Spielberg was rumored to direct, but as of now he doesn’t have any involvement.
THR states that it’s about “time travel and alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole.” Like Inception which Christopher wrote and directed, Interstellar sounds like a mind-bending sci-fi movie right up Christopher’s alley!
Rope of Silicon also previously reported that Interstellar “centers on the discovery of an energy source from the Hawking radiation from a nearby black hole. Extra-dimensional beings that control the black hole may also exist in the plot. Several plot points are allusions to general relativity and parts of Thorne’s research, including the gravitational red shift that occurs when the character is close to the vicinity of the black hole.”
The most recent Christopher Nolan film to hit theaters was The Dark Knight Rises last July. Man of Steel, which he wrote and is producing, is due out this June.
Thanks, Coming Soon.
