The How I Met Your Mother season 8 finale will air on CBS on May 13. What do you expect to happen in the final six episodes?

The news that the How I Met Your Mother season 8 finale will air on CBS May 13 has been announced by CBS, in what is hoped to be a climactic ending to this season. How I Met Your Mother returns this Monday with 8×19 “The Fortress” with Barney set to be reluctant of the idea of selling his apartment in order to move and build a home with Robin.

Barney and Robin have been going through slight relationship issues, which were highlighted in 8×18 “Weekend at Barney’s” after Robin found out that the playbook hadn’t actually been burnt, and that Barney actually kept the original. All up until the final scene though, when Ted’s now ex-girlfriend, Jeanette, decided to trash Ted’s apartment and strapped the playbook to a set of fireworks, destroying it.

But How I Met Your Mother fans will be waiting a mere 9 more weeks to get their hands on the season 8 finale, with the final six episodes being spread out across the remainder of the schedule.
