Potter fans who hit the Big Apple will soon be able to shop in a brand new Harry Potter flagship store.
According to PR Newswire, Warner Brothers is gearing up to open the world’s first official Harry Potter flagship store.
The new shopping destination will find its home in New York City. Warner Bros. has scooped up some prime real estate in the Big Apple for the forthcoming shopping destination. Specifically, the brand new flagship store is set to be located right next to NYC’s iconic Flatiron building at 935 Broadway.
So what can fans expect when they visit? According to the details, the first-of-its-kind store will be comprised of a whopping three floors and over 20,000 square feet.
Per the press release, the store “will house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world under one roof with everything from personalized robes and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans to a brand new range of house wands with a design exclusive to the New York location.”
In a statement announcing the big news, Sarah Roots, SVP Worldwide Tours and Retail, Warner Bros., teased that shopping won’t be the only thing that awaits those who visit the magical storefront.
“This will be the largest dedicated Harry Potter store in the world and will become a must-visit fan destination where Harry Potter enthusiasts can engage with interactive experiences and numerous photo opportunities as they step into the magic,” said Roots.
We’ll definitely be curious to find out more about the interactive experiences planned for the store — if it’s anything like the stores located at the Wizarding World in Universal Studios, it sounds as though visiting the new Potter shop will be quite the immersive experience.
In addition, Warner Bros. also unveiled some brand new concept art for the flagship store.
In addition to a pretty cool clock tower, and flagpoles cast in the likeness of the elder wand, it seems as though the store will also feature a full-fledged cafe serving coffee, ice cream, and of course, butterbeer.
The brand new Harry Potter flagship store is set to open Summer 2020 in New York City.
