Rosewood alum Jaina Lee Ortiz has been cast in the latest Shondaland series. Has the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff found its lead?
The Grey’s Anatomy spinoff may still be nameless, but it’s already adding to the cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jaina Lee Ortiz will be joining the series focusing on firefighters.

They’re also speculating that she could actually be the lead of the series. Continuing on the tradition of Shondaland series being female led!
Per a press release from the series announcement, the focus of the show will be about: “From the captain to the newest recruit, we follow these brave men and women as they risk their lives and their hearts both in the line of duty and off the clock.”
The spinoff will be written and executive produced by Stacy McKee, with Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers serving as executive producers. ABC Studios will be producing the series.
