Rory’s trust fund kicked in at 25

In the trailer Rory mentions that she has no credit and no one place to hang her hat. She is a drifter, moving from New York to London, and beyond. How can she do all of that? With the work ethic of a freelancer singing for her supper and a trust fund courtesy of her grandparents.

When Rory announces that she dropped out of Yale, Richard suggests changing the terms of her trust fund. But as far as we know those actions were never set in motion. As of now, Rory is living off of her grandparents dime as she builds her portfolio.

Lorelai and Luke only got back together for less than 12 hours when season 7 ended

Why is this important? Well, we need to know our starting point for an accurate retrospective view of their relationship. Clearly, the two are together and making things work when the series returns. But can we assume that in eight years there were no major blowups?

After all, over the course of their nearly three-year on screen relationship they broke up twice. One good tent is not enough to support the weight of their emotional baggage. But with Christopher out of Lorelai’s romantic picture for good, perhaps the two won’t have any major obstacles in their way.

There was already a month long celebration for the town moving off of the septic system

Okay, this may be a reach, but there are some signs that hint our observation might not be insignificant. In the season one episode, “Star-Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers” Rory mentions to Dean that the town held a month long carnival when they left the septic system.

Look at these signs! This fun fact might come back into play.
