There’s danger afoot on this week’s Geek Gifts. But don’t worry, the heroes of the Four Lands and Sherlock Holmes are on the case.

If you’d like to catch our supersized holiday Geek Gift guides, we’ve got one for fantasy lovers, sci-fi aficionados, and superhero enthusiasts.

Geek Gifts is a weekly feature article written by Donya Abramo and Karen Rought. With every installment, the duo picks out a fandom-related item they’ve recently come across and describes it in loving detail. There are no product placements here. We only talk about items we’re excited to share with the rest of the world.

Your Geek Gifts come in a variety of ways, be it jewelry, clothing, games, or something else entirely. We strive to remain unbiased, and we plan on constantly expanding our own horizons as we search for new and interesting pieces. The only requirement is that it must give us the burning need to open our wallets and throw money at its creator.

Subscription boxes have become all the rage recently (we’re looking at you, Lootcrate), and cater to all areas of nerdish glee — including for the brand-new, high-fantasy series The Shannara Chronicles.

We’ve been hyped up for the series’ arrival on MTV for months, especially after getting an early look at the premiere at New York Comic Con, but it’d be an understatement to say that merchandise for Terry Brooks’ fantasy epic The Shannara Chronicles is few and far between. There are the books themselves, of course, but sometimes you just want something a little more to showcase your love and adoration.

Enter Penguin Random House with a one-off box celebrating the series premiere. It includes all sorts of wonderful goodies inside: An exclusive Shannara t-shirt, a handy character guide, a hardcover edition of The Elfstones of Shannara, as well as the Elfstones themselves and a coin from Arborlon. What more could you ask for?

Well… other than embarking on an epic adventure to save the Four Lands alongside Wil, Eretria and Amberle, but, really, we can’t have it all!

After two whole years, we finally have a new episode of BBC’s Sherlock under our belt. Though it was a divisive one, I learned to love it despite going into the special thinking I would absolutely hate it.

The episode did what I’m sure the Steven Moffat and his team were hoping it would do — reawaken the fandom. I certainly have a strong desire to add another Funko to my shelf now.

As usual, Etsy is also full of an incredible array of fan art and ways in which you can show off your pride for just about anything you love. These coasters are no different. I love that they feature great quotes from a show full of amazing one-liners, but also that they come with little pictures and are written with different fonts. They could’ve been so standard, but instead the designer made them interesting and dynamic.

Better yet, you can toss them across the room at people whenever they annoy you. Talk about hurling insults.

Will you be saving the Four Lands or drinking a cuppa with Sherlock?
