FOX has finally found their Danny Zuko and this guy is no stranger to the Broadway or television stages. Welcome, Aaron Tveit.

Aaron Tveit joins Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, and Carlos PenaVega (Big Time Rush) in FOX’s live production of Grease next January.

Tveit released this statement about accepting the role: “I’m thrilled and honored to be joining this incredibly talented team of actors in re-imagining this classic and beloved musical.”

Much like his counterpart Julianne Hough, who will be playing Sandy, the role appears to be one that Tveit has wanted to play for a long time. He says, “Playing Danny Zuko is a dream role and I can’t wait to be a part of all the fun that comes along with performing live on television.”

Just give him a comb and a leather jacket!

You may recognize Tveit from his role as Enjorlas in the Oscar nominated Les Mis. Not only does Tveit have the experience singing live on camera, but he has plenty of roles on his Broadway resume that tested his singing chops eight shows a week. Hi past performances include, Wicked, Catch Me if You Can, and Next to Normal.

He is currently starring in the television series, Graceland.

Another casting announcement arrived today as well for Kenickie, Zuko’s best friend and Rizzo’s boyfriend. The role will be played by Carlos PenaVega.

Grease: Live will air January 31, 2016 on FOX.
