Don Jon’s Addiction is actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut and today we have the first TV spot for the film showing a hot scene between Levitt and Johansson.

Making its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this past year, the Joseph Gordon-Levitt-directed film Don Jon’s Addiction was purchased by Relativity Media for $4 million to distribute in the United States.

The first trailer for the film was released this past May, but today the first Don Jon’s tv spot has been released. Catch Levitt and Johansson heating up the screen:

While Don Jon’s Addiction will most likely have a limited release due to its marketing budget, with such hot actors in the lead roles, it could be a runaway hit. Fans of Joseph Gordon-Levitt will definitely be looking for his directorial debut.

A Don Jon’s Addiction Tumblr page has also been announced, which may release exclusive news about the film as it approaches its September 27 release date.

Background on ‘Don Jon’s Addiction’

In addition to the distribution of Don Jon, Relativity has pledged $25 million for promotional purposes when Don Jon opens in the summer.

This amount of money was a huge commitment in terms of films that premiered at Sundance, and it’s rumored that Relativity may have decided to commit to this amount of money so that they could create a relationship with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his rising stardom.

After the announcement of the film being purchased, Gordon-Levitt released a statement saying, “I always intended this to be a movie for a mass popular audience. Everyone told me it was a long shot. Now Relativity is making it happen.”

Don Jon’s Addiction stars Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, and Tony Danza. It follows the journey of a contemporary, porn-addicted Don Juan-type as he attempts to become less selfish.

JGL spoke to Hypable about the film in September when he described the project as “the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” The film’s release date is set for September 27, 2013.
