Ahead of its panel at San Diego Comic-Con tomorrow, BBC One has unveiled a new still from this year’s Sherlock Christmas Special.

The new still — the first one since the Sherlock Christmas Special’s table read — depicts Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) sitting down as Watson (Martin Freeman) sits on the arm of the chair:

“Shut up everybody, shut up! Don’t move, don’t speak, don’t breathe,” BBC One’s official Twitter account wrote with the image on Twitter. Are those words a hint of things to come?

The duo look great. We’ve missed seeing them together!

As previously reported, the Sherlock Christmas Special is set during London’s Victorian era and will be a one-off episode. There is no time traveling per say (this isn’t Doctor Who!). Instead, Sherlock and Watson are going to be in a different time purely to tell a new story in this self-contained episode.

The Christmas Special airs this December on BBC One. No word yet on a U.S. air date.

As for Sherlock series 4… well… we’ll be waiting a while for that.

Return to Hypable tomorrow for coverage of the Sherlock panel which will feature producer Sue Vertue and co-star Rupert Graves. Cumberbatch and Freeman aren’t expected to be in attendance, but if history is any indication, they may film a special video just for Comic-Con attendees.
