Jamie Foxx is taking on the role of Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and now we have our first official look of his character on the cover of EW.

In previous set photos from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 shoot we thought that there was some unique makeup being used to create his character, and it looks like only some slight CGI has been used to create the finalized look. Check it out on the cover from EW below:

The official look for Electro is definitely interesting and we’re excited to see what kind of powers he’ll be demonstrating in Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Jamie Foxx was on a talk show recently and discussed his character, he went on to explain the voice he used once he has transformed into Electro. It sounded a little like Bruce Wayne’s voice in Dark Knight, but we’ll save our judgements until we’ve seen a trailer or two from the film.

Foxx is a mega-talented actor, and we look forward to seeing how director Marc Webb has decided to use him in The Amazing Spider-Man’s sequel.

Due to Spider-Man 2 being a New York City production, it’s allowed fans in the past few weeks to catch some candid photos of Shailene Woodley, Emma Stone, and Andrew Garfield.

Recently, Shailene Woodley’s character was cut from the film, and there have been serious doubts as to whether she’ll be back for Amazing Spider-Man 3 and 4 as Mary Jane Watson.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 release date is set for May 2, 2014. Stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be returning as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx (Electro) will also be in the film, along with Sally Fields, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, and Colm Feore.
