Star Wars Episode VIII will indeed pick up right where Episode VII left off, with an epic standoff between Rey and Luke Skywalker.

Daisy Ridley was in attendance at this year’s 88th Annual Academy Awards, and while the film did not receive any Oscars, the fan reception of the movie is more than suitable praise. It also makes the anticipation for Episode VIII even higher.

Speaking of which, MTV caught up to Ridley to ask her about attending the Oscars and working with Mark Hamill. You can watch the video below:

In case you have yet to watch the teaser, you can find it in our previous article, where we theorized (correctly, it seems) that Episode VIII does indeed begin right where The Force Awakens left off, which is the first time a Star Wars film will have done that.

That final moment where we see Luke Skywalker on the cliff’s edge, turning to look at the person who was able to finally track him down, was hard to walk away from, considering how long it took us to get to this point.

But we’re here now, and while many fans would be sure to love a two hour staring contest between the two characters, we’ll be getting a whole lot more. Ridley even comments on how strange and wonderful it was to go back to that scene at a later point in time and with a different crew.

Ridley breaks out in her trademarked smile as she relays how excited she is for Episode VIII and how amazing the story is going to be. “Luke is so cool in this one!” she exclaims, which is sure to get long-time Star Wars fans amped for his role in the upcoming film.

Are you already counting down the days until ‘Star Wars Episode VIII’?
