Emma Roberts is looking to bring more adaptations to Hulu— beginning with Tell Me Lies.

According to Deadline, actress Emma Roberts has inked a first look deal with Hulu where she’ll be focusing on turning books into television series.

The American Horror Story alum will be producing future adaptations for Hulu via her Belletrist TV production company.

The great news for Roberts fans is that they won’t have to wait long to find out which adaptation the Scream Queens star plans to take on first.

Today’s news of Roberts’ newly minted first look deal with Hulu also comes with word that her first order of business will be an adaptation of Carola Lovering’s Tell Me Lies.

First published in 2018, Lovering’s Tell Me Lies centers on Lucy Albright— a college girl who finds herself obsessed with an incredibly charming man.

Here’s Hulu’s official synopsis for the forthcoming adaptation:

“When Lucy Albright arrives on the campus of her small college, away from her mother whom she’s never forgiven for an act of betrayal in her early teen years, Lucy embraces college life and all it has to offer. But everything changes when she meets Stephen DeMarco, who has a mysterious past of his own. Their addicting entanglement will have consequences they never could have imagined.”

Behind the camera, Meghan Oppenheimer (Facebook Watch’s Queen America starring Catherine Zeta Jones) has been tapped pen the script for the pilot. In addition, Laura Lewis and Stephanie Noonan will serve as producers. Also on board is author Carola Lovering herself, who is coming on board to serve as a consulting producer on the adaptation

Hulu has yet to set a tentative date with regards to when we might expect to see Emma Roberts’ Tell Me Lies adaptation premiere.
