Curious, and potentially a spoiler (So, sorry about that in advance): Millie Bobby Brown will be returning as Eleven in Stranger Things season 2.

TV Line reports that the actress will be back, and “all signs point” to her character being a series regular. This means she’ll be appearing in many of the episodes — not just one or two for some quick flashback. Netflix declined comment.

This is an interesting development, as it could suggest that Eleven is not gone after all. Her “final” scene in Stranger Things was tragic, and it felt like she was gone for good. The kids were so sad! … And so were we.

I’m not sure what to make of this news. The stakes of season 1 are removed to an extent if Eleven does return. What was all of that for if she’s still around?

That said, with so many weird things going on, it’s possible that she won’t be reunited with her friends in season 2, so the stakes will remain.

I’ll hold off on passing judgement until we know more. Hopefully showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer won’t let us down. The upside down is weird, and we’re just starting to learn about it.

The Duffer duo previously confirmed that Barb and Brenner are dead, but Barb will get a bit of #justice when her friends and family reflect on her passing in season 2. It was something the characters didn’t have time for in season 1, because everything was going to hell.

Stranger Things premieres in 2017 and has been booked for nine episodes.

How do you think Eleven will be brought back into the fold for season 2?

Let’s get theorizing! If you need Eleven back in your life ASAP, you should probably pick up the just-announced Funko Pop! Vinyl.

The show stars Starring Winona Ryder, Matthew Modine, David Harbour, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, and Millie Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Mattarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin.
