Fresh details have emerged about Bioware’s next addition to the Dragon Age series: Dragon Age: Inquisition.

E3 saw the debut trailer of the third installment of the Dragon Age franchise making a splash. Now, Game Informer are gradually sharing new information about the eagerly anticipated Bioware title.

First, Game Informer released a trailer for their coverage, which features footage of the Bioware team hard at work on Inquisition.

Quick glimpses of pre-alpha footage (around 0:50 in the video below) reveal that mounts will feature in Dragon Age: Inquisition, a first for the franchise.

The developers also talk about your character’s role in reforming the Inquisition. We also hear more of Bioware’s philosophy for the game, notably their wish to work with the fans and allow customisation and an even greater amount of player choice.

In a separate video, the developers reassure players that they will do their best to allow the worlds that players created via choices in previous Dragon Age games to carry over to Inquisition.

Game Informer also feature Dragon Age: Inquisition on the cover of the magazine’s latest issue.

Dragon Age: Origins, the first game in the series, was well received by critics and fans alike, yet Dragon Age 2 is widely regarded to be inferior, largely because of the impact a shorter development time had on the game.

After the backlash, Bioware has been given an extended period of time to try to put things back on track. Dragon Age: Inquisition will feature an open world, a choice of playable races (last seen in Origins) and customisable armor.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to release in 2014 on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
