April Fools!

Disney took their time between the release of Frozen and the announcement of a sequel, but it seems they’re saving everyone time this year with their newest announcement.

Ahead of their D23 Expo, Disney decided to reveal some unsurprising news this morning. A second Frozen sequel is already in the works and will actually be in development alongside Frozen 2.

Disney also released the title of the second sequel, Frozen 3: World Domination. It’s interesting that Disney would make such an announcement since we still haven’t gotten a title or release date for the second installment. Disney is likely saving everyone time, announcing what we already know is happening.

It makes sense that the third title would be World Domination, as Frozen has already taken over just about everything good in the world: cereals, the toy industry, jewelry, all Disney theme parks — and those are just a few examples.

“We’re excited to bring Disney fans two brand new Frozen stories,” said Disney CEO Bob Iger on a conference call with investors this morning. “At this point everyone already knows the sequel will be a success, so we thought we’d skip ahead and announce the third.”

When asked about why the title for the second film hasn’t been released, Iger responded, “Well, we need to keep something a mystery now, don’t we? While you know that Elsa will freeze the entire world over in the third movie, you won’t know what kind of sh*t she’ll get into in the second and why it leads to her world domination.”

“Oh, and one more thing,” Iger said at the very end of the call, “Because of the success of the Frozen franchise and the fact that no one ever knows whose castle is whose in our theme parks, all of our castles across the globe will be transformed into Elsa’s castle. The era of confusion is over. One Disney. One castle.”

This is one decision that definitely makes sense. If Elsa is going to take over the world in the third Frozen movie, it makes perfects sense that she take over the real world too.

The film storms into theaters November 2018.
