Disney Replay is honestly one of the best things to happen to our TVs in a long time. To celebrate this new and totally awesome programming block, we want to share with you our favorite episodes of That’s So Raven!

So far, we’ve shared with you our five favorite episodes of Lizzie McGuire and of Even Stevens. It’s only natural that, this week, we share with you our favorite That’s So Raven episodes!

After all, That’s So Raven had a big impact on us growing up. In addition to Lizzie McGuire, Raven Baxter was someone we looked to for style and life advice (both on what to do and what not to do). However, while Lizzie had interesting middle school problems, Raven had super fun and crazy adventures!

From meeting her favorite boy bands to kicking butt while dressed in 1970s garb, there was never a dull moment in the lives of Raven Baxter and her two awesome friends. We would’ve given anything to be friends with Raven and a member of the Baxter family.

Anyway, since our only connection to Raven Baxter was through episodes of That’s So Raven, we can remember all of our favorite episodes quite vividly. Here are our top five favorites that we can’t wait to see pop up on Disney Replay some time soon (in no particular order because they’re too hard to rank).

Note: The episode numbers listed are actually the production numbers; so many episodes were aired out of order that it was hard to keep up!

‘Cake Fear’ (season 3, episode 32)

This episode is absolutely hilarious! It plays on so many horror tropes, making them ridiculously funny and memorable. We love how Raven and Cory think the babysitter is out to murder them. The fake newspaper clippings are a really great touch, but the thing that really sells the babysitter’s potentially dangerous side is just the casting of Mary Gross as the babysitter. She’s known to play similarly sketchy roles (like that of the flighty and skittish teacher in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) and is a master at going from zero to sketchy in no time flat. We’ll be DVR-ing this episode’s appearance on Disney Replay and replaying it over and over again.

‘Mother Dearest’ (season 1, episode 3)

If there’s any disguise that we remember most from That’s So Raven, it’s the one from this episode where Raven dressed as her “mother.” Now, we put that in quotations because her version of her mother isn’t even close to reality. It’s even pointed out that her costume’s rear end has a mind of its own! While this episode’s plot isn’t anything special, it’s the disguise that really makes it one of our favorites of all time. We’ll never be able to get the image of that disguise (or Raven’s shimmy) out of our heads as long as we live.

‘The Four Aces’ (season 3, episode 31)

We’re a huge fan of period pieces over here at Hypable, especially when they deal with the ’40s and the Roaring ’20s. While we didn’t appreciate this episode as much as we should have when we were kids, it really grew on us as we’ve grown up. More than that, it stuck with us and we’re so happy that Disney Replay is giving us the chance to see it again. We love how Raven helps Ms. Ronnie Wilcox (played by the talented Della Reese) find her confidence to perform once more. We also find it really cool that The Chill Grill had an interesting historical background. This whole episode was just really classy.

‘If I Only Had a Job’ (season 1, episode 10)

Two words: Liz Anya. Raven disguises herself as a pop star whose name sounds like “lasagna.” How awesome is that?! We like that she takes the blame for her dad’s firing and that she does her best to fix it. While it doesn’t work out how she imagines or wants it to, it’s the thought that counts. Plus, without the events of this episode, the Chill Grill never would have become a thing so everything works out for the best! As for Raven & co’s disguises? They’re so on-point. They look like total celebrities. We never would’ve been able to look that good or legit when we were in middle school!

‘On Top of Old Oakey’ (season 3, episode 5)

Just thinking about this episode has us singing “On top of Old Oakeyyyyyy, all covered in leavesssss” at the top of our lungs. It was a really interesting episode that taught us the value of being authentic and true. Is it bad though that our absolute favorite part about this episode (besides its super catchy song) is the fact that Ricky Ullman is in it? We really love how he plays the “player,” especially since he’s usually the super nice guy. Even though he’s terrible to Chelsea and we want to slap him for it, we also just want to give him a hug…
