We’re completely in love with Disney Channel’s newest and most nostalgic programming block, Disney Replay. This week, we’re celebrating our love for Even Stevens!

Last week, we shared with you our five favorite episodes of Lizzie McGuire. Doing that put us on such a trip down memory lane that we decided to do the same for Even Stevens this week.

It was so hard not to love Even Stevens when we were growing up. We could all relate to the family dynamics in the Stevens household, as well as the family members. Each one of us were a little bit of Ren, Louis, and Donnie. Mostly though, we used to love seeing what kind of shenanigans Louis and Ren were getting into (and out of).

Thanks to Disney Replay, the Stevens clan is back on our TV screens for the first time in years and we couldn’t be happier about it! To celebrate this momentous occasion, here are our five favorite episodes of Even Stevens of all time! (In no specific order, however, because we had a hard enough time just trying to choose five episodes!)

‘Influenza: The Musical’ (season 2, episode 21)

Whenever we hear someone mention the lunar landing or the year 1969, we always start singing the one verse we know from “We Went to the Moon.” Seriously though. Every time. We even find ourselves singing the verse when we’re not thinking about anything close to the lunar landing. The dancing and singing in this episode was so well done and hilarious (especially in “6th Period”). This is one Even Stevens episode that we like to play over and over again, which is why we’ve DVR’ed its most recent Disney Replay appearance.

‘Band on the Roof’ (season 3, episode 5)

We love watching our favorite shows do band-like episodes. It’s always so much fun. After all, doesn’t every kid in America know how to play an instrument or sing? *winky face* Anyway, this episode always sticks out to us because it’s filmed like a documentary. We enjoy seeing the “interviews” and what each character has to say about the others. We’re also fans of the way the band gets back together in the end (even though we totally saw that coming). If nothing else, we love how Beans takes charge, essentially invites himself into the band, and plays the bass with his tongue.

‘Scrub Day’ (season 1, episode 9)

Ahhh “Scrub Day.” This episode was so interesting because we couldn’t believe that something like this would ever happen in a school (and with the principal’s permission)! Yet, instead of being scared of it happening to us, we couldn’t help but watch in anticipation for what was going to happen to Louis and if Larry was going to really give it to him good. While we can’t say that we were impressed with Larry’s lame plan, we still can’t get the image of Shia LeBeouf swimming and playing around in a vat of sloppy Joes out of our heads. Seriously though. We can’t. And it’s been over 10 years now. It’s a serious problem and Disney Replay has only made it worse.

‘Beans on the Brain’ (season 3, episode 16)

It may not be the best episode of Even Stevens ever, but it’s one that always sticks out to us. Seriously though. How terrifying would it be to envision Beans when you’re trying to kiss an attractive someone? Louis’ reactions (mostly his screaming and terrible excuses involving rump roasts) make us laugh so hard. And then in the scene where he’s talking to Tawny about his problems and he says something along the lines of “I see two-headed people”? It’s just so good. We’ll always remember this episode when we think of Even Stevens.

‘Heck of a Hanukkah’ (season 1, episode 15)

While this episode borrows quite a few elements from It’s a Wonderful Life, it’s not a total adaptation which is really refreshing. Usually, when other shows borrow from the classic movie, they practically recreate it to a “T.” What we like best about this Even Stevens episode isn’t seeing how different the Stevens clan is without Louis (though that is super crazy and awesome). It’s actually the chaos and fun times that ensue when Louis all of a sudden becomes visible to his Alternate Universe family. We could watch this episode over and over again.
