The Diablo series will be getting a small screen adaptation soon, if talks with Netflix go accordingly.
A Diablo TV show has been circulating around the rumor mill for some time now. Finally, some solid conversations are rising up about the long-awaited Diablo TV show adaptation.
The founder of Boom! Studios, Andrew Cosby, posted a Tweet that has since been taken down. In it, he says, “I guess I can confirm I am indeed in final talks to write and show-run the new DIABLO animated series for Activision and Netflix.”

However, nothing is confirmed all of the way yet, as he went on to say, “It’s very exciting and I hope to the High Heavens it all works out.”
The Tweet being deleted either means that the Diablo TV show is going to get an official announcement from either Netflix or Activision soon, or that the show is still nowhere ready to being announced in any official capacity.
The animated Diablo series would join the Castlevania series in Netflix’s 2D video game adaptation lineup. The Castlevania series seems to be faring well with the streaming provider, having a second season hitting Netflix soon.
Diablo III Eternal Collection was recently announced to be releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch during the latest Nintendo Direct. The Eternal Collection will feature an exclusive Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda armor set. All Nintendo amiibo figurines will be compatible with Diablo III Eternal Collection for things like other armor unlocks.
Showtime is set to start up a Halo TV show in the coming year, adding yet another small screen video game adaptation into the television world. Recently, Alicia Vikander starred in a big screen adaptation of Tomb Raider, taking over the role from Angelina Jolie.
While fans may have to wait a while for the animated Diablo TV show, the Diablo III Eternal Collection releases for the Nintendo Switch on November 2.
