Disney and Marvel may be fine with their decision to move forward without James Gunn in the driver’s seat for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but there’s one prominent actor who’s still uneasy over the decision.

Dave Bautista who plays Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has made no secret of the fact that he’s taking the loss of James Gunn pretty hard.

Though the cast banded together and released a joint statement of support following Gunn’s firing earlier this summer, Disney have made it clear that they’re sticking by their decision to sever ties with the director.

It’s something Bautista has been struggling with, and he’s made sure fans are well aware that he’s not pleased with Gunn being let go.

Despite taking to Twitter to express his disagreement with Disney and Marvel, the actor who plays Drax also revealed via the social media platform early in August that he plans to return to fulfill his commitments.

The good news for Bautista is that it doesn’t look like he’ll have to return to set any time soon.

Currently, production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is on hold until Marvel and Disney can find a new helmer for the project.

That hasn’t stoped Bautista from continuing to speak out and taking a jab at the studio for their decision.

The actor recently stopped by The Jonathan Ross Show where he confirmed that the third installment of the franchise is on hold indefinitely, and yet again spoke candidly of his feelings toward the studio.

“It’s a bittersweet conversation. No—it’s a bitter bitter conbersatation because I’m not really happy with what they’ve done with James Gunn,” said Bautista of the situation according to The Hollywood Reporter. “They’re putting the movie off. It’s on hold indefinitely. To be honest with you, I don’t know if I want to work for Disney…I’ve been very vocal about the way I feel. I’m not afraid to admit the way I feel.”

We’ll be curious to see if Disney chooses to comment on the matter or not.
