The Daredevil season 2 release date has been revealed in an eerie new trailer for the Netflix series’ second season.

Daredevil season 2 will debut on Netflix on March 18, almost a full month earlier than the show’s premiere last year. As always, all thirteen episodes of the series will be available to binge-watch immediately.

Netflix announced the Daredevil season 2 release date in an moody and stylistic new trailer. Drawing heavily on the show’s religious imagery, the trailer depicts events from the first season as Michelangelo-esque paintings in a very unusual church.

The trailer for Daredevil season 2 doesn’t include any new footage from the upcoming season, but it does clearly evoke the burdens that Matt Murdock will carry with him into the next thirteen episodes. (Catholic guilt, anyone?)

The themes of the trailer are also reflected in this new poster:

Speaking of guilt, the season synopsis was also released with the Daredevil season 2 release date — and it looks like Matt will have plenty to tangle with beyond the borders of his mind.

“Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen,” Netflix says. “Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.”

“Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.”

A few recently-released stills from Daredevil season 2 add some depth to this description, as does a brief trailer that offers more imagery from what is to come.

Daredevil season 2 hits Netflix on March 18, 2016.
