We’re just a few weeks away from the Arrow-verse’s biggest crossover ever, “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” and we know this is set to impact the universe for the foreseeable future. So, who’s going to die?

It’s an event in the Arrow-verse that has been teased for years finally coming to fruition, and honestly, I’m kind of scared to see how this will play out. Expectations are high (rightfully so) and the cast and crew continue to hype up “Crisis on Infinite Earths” and promise major ramifications to the Arrow-verse following the event, which in part means major deaths.

Since all six of The CW’s superhero shows are taking part in this five-hour crossover (with Black Lightning‘s role being limited to Jefferson’s appearance, as far as we know) and other heroes coming in to play — three Superman characters, two Lois Lanes, etc. — there are so many characters at risk to meet their end at the Anti-Monitor’s hands.

Cisco Ramon

Rumors have been circulating since early on during The Flash season 5 that Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) would be leaving the show. While those rumors were unsubstantiated, Cisco’s story over the course of last season truly seemed to be one setting up his farewell to Team Flash. Working on and taking the meta-human cure, therefore reducing his role on Team Flash, and starting a normal life with his new girlfriend was all Cisco wanted. On The Flash season 6, it still doesn’t feel right having Cisco around without his powers, though he’s still an intricate part of Team Flash.

However, it looks like Cisco will possibly be getting his powers back soon (that, or it’s a Cisco from another Earth). On The Flash season 6, episode 2, one of Barry’s visions of possible endings to “Crisis on Infinite Earths” had Vibe, Frost, and Elongated Man in the field, destroyed by the anti-matter wave. In a new teaser trailer for the crossover, Cisco is seen (just for a second) in his Vibe suit aboard the Waverider. So, it’s likely he’ll be reversing the effects of the meta-human cure shortly.

If Cisco’s powers do return, I definitely think he’s going to meet his end during this event. The producers convinced Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) to stick around for a shortened season to wrap up Arrow and “Crisis on Infinite Earths” around the same time, so my theory is they convinced Carlos to stick around, too. Whether or not Cisco dies, it definitely doesn’t feel like he’s going to be sticking around on Team Flash for years to come, especially if Chester is joining the team, as was hinted on The Flash season 6, episode 6.

Brandon Routh’s Superman

Of the three Clark Kents appearing on “Crisis on Infinite Earths” from current and past iterations, the one I suspect will die is Brandon Routh’s Superman. It’s likely at least one of the supers will perish, after seeing the flag in the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” trailer (shown below) though it may not stick; however, this Superman is the one whose death would make the most sense.

As of yet, there’s no announcement of a Lois Lane for this Superman (but it’s entirely possible she’s there, just unannounced and being kept secret). Given that we don’t know if this Lois will be around, it’s easy to assume that fans would be the least upset if he was the one to meet his end. Given Brandon Routh’s departure on Legends of Tomorrow this season, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they killed at least one of his characters off.

Oliver Queen and Barry Allen

First off, let’s start with the man who’s likely to die but will definitely be revived somehow: Barry Allen. Barry’s death has been fated during “Crisis on Infinite Earths” since The Flash began. But, seeing as The Flash will go on for at least 13 episodes after the Arrow-verse crossover, and likely for at least a season or two after that, there’s no way Barry Allen is staying dead. So, while he’s likely to die saving the world, it’s reversible somehow.

Oliver Queen, on the other hand, is in another situation entirely. My only doubts about his death are that it’s been teased since the “Elseworlds” crossover last season, and the Arrow season 7 finale showed his grave and date of death being 2019. While it’s safe to say he’ll no longer be a player in the Arrow-verse, and his absence will be felt in the universe as he’s presumed to be dead, I doubt he’ll die. Maybe, like many fans have speculated, he’ll go to the paradise dimension.

Whatever the case, I don’t think we should expect any big character to die permanently in the Arrow-verse. The universe is the best at raising expectations and not following through, and it would not be surprising whatsoever if “Crisis on Infinite Earths” ended without any major changes.
