The October 19 season 4 premiere of NBC’s killer cult-favorite Community will be a tribute to The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. We fervently hope Dean Pelton will have mind-boggling outfits akin to Effie Trinket (with a slightly different personality) and that Greendale is transformed into a magical and mystical arena (with less death involved).

Though Community has lost some of it’s community feel — pun intended — with the loss of creator Dan Harmon and key writers such as Chris McKenna, Joel McHale, who plays Jeff, revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that fans should not fret over Season 4: “Fans will see these pictures and go, ‘Dammit, they’ve tried to make this show mainstream! They’re trying to steal the Two and a Half Men audience!’”

That is not the case, however, and the season opens with a classic mockery only this time in the form of a mockingjay (oh come on, we had to make the obvious joke here). When Dean Pelton loses the list of enrolled individuals, students must fight (hopefully not to the death) to win a space in the ‘History of Ice Cream’ class.

Again McHale said to EW: “Ice cream is something that people eat every day and they probably don’t know its origin story … F— you and your elitist I-don’t-need-to-know-about-my-frozen-treats-and-where-they-came-from attitude.”

You’ve got to love that daily dose of Jeff ‘tude (we’ve missed it). This is all that has been revealed about the new episode, but we would like to put in our requests.

We would like some sort of romance: Troy and Britta (it’s been hinted that may happen this season…not to mention Britta sort of sounds like Peeta so it could work). We would like Annie to portray Rue, but then who will be Katniss? And we would definitely love to see Leonard involved…but as who?

What do you hope will happen in this Hunger Games style episode? Check out these two pictures from EW and try to decipher what will happen.
