Extending its universe across new media platforms, the Classic Alice web series will be releasing several podcasts for fans to enjoy.

Classic Alice is truly a transmedia experience. The web series exists on YouTube, of course, and fans can interact with the “characters” both in the comments and on Twitter.

And now, creator Kate Hackett has announced two podcasts featuring the characters from the show. The music-based “The Proof is Treble” is hosted by Cara (Elise Cantu), and was released in late August.

The second podcast features characters Alice (Hackett) and Andrew (Tony Noto). It is called “Pens vs Lens,” and in the show, the pair will discuss books vs their film adaptations.

In a press release, Noto explains how he proposed the idea to Hackett, saying, “When I proposed it, she immediately knew how to incorporate it into the story and when our characters would introduce it.”

Each episode will see Alice and Andrew argue for either the book or the movie version, and then fans can vote via Twitter to decide who wins the argument. The loser will be forced to wear a costume from the book or film.

The first episode of “Pens vs Lens” was released on November 3. In the episode, Alice and Andrew debate Alice in Wonderland, pitting Lewis Carroll’s classic novel against the 2010 movie.

You can listen to both podcasts on Soundcloud. Make sure to subscribe to the Classic Alice YouTube channel and visit their website as well.
