Channing Tatum might soon be sharing the silver screen with Sandra Bullock.

According to Deadline, actor Channing Tatum is currently in talks to join the cast of the upcoming Paramount Pictures film, The Lost City of D.

If Tatum boards, he’ll be co-starring opposite Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock, who, in addition to starring in the film, will also be producing through her Fortis Films production company.

Described as a romantic comedy, The Lost City of D centers on a romance novelist who is something of a recluse. Just when the author thinks nothing could be worse than her current predicament of being stuck on a book tour with her cover model, things do, in fact get much worse. An attempted kidnapping suddenly finds both the author and her cover model caught up in an unexpected jungle adventure.

For the film, Bullock is set to play the reclusive romance novelist while Tatum will play the cover model of her latest book.

Behind the camera, the film is set to be written by Dana Fox, who’s no stranger to the rom-com genre. Fox’s previous credits include How To Be Single and Isn’t It Romantic. In addition to The Lost City of D, Fox is currently also attached to write the screenplay for the upcoming reboot of My Best Friend’s Wedding, as well as Disney’s villain origin story, Cruella.

Fox will be working off of an original idea by Seth Gordon. It’s still unclear as to who will direct.

Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see The Lost City of D starring Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock hit the big screen.
