Hot on the heels of Marvel making a few major release date announcements, Pixar and Disney have announced a slew of dates, including one for The Incredibles 2.

The long-awaited sequel to The Incredibles, written and directed by Brad Bird, will open June 21, 2019. The follow-up arrives nearly 15 years after the original, which opened November 5, 2004 (it too was written/directed by Bird).

The film’s teaser poster debuted at Disney’s D23 Expo in August:

Pixar also announced that Cars 3 will be opening June 2017. The last one opened in June 2011.

Finally, Toy Story 4 has been pushed from June 2017 to June 2018 — presumably to get Cars 3 out sooner. This is one decision we’re definitely not fans of.

Following today’s updates, the animation studio’s slate looks like this:

– November 2015: The Good Dinosaur
– June 2016: Finding Dory
– June 2017: Cars 3
– November 2017: Coco
– June 2018: Toy Story 4
– June 2019: The Incredibles 2

In addition, Disney has dated four “Untitled Disney Fairy Tale (Live Action)” movies for December 22, 2017, November 2, 2018, March 29, 2019, and November 8, 2019. We don’t know which live-action stories will jump into these slots, but as Hypable readers know, Disney is developing quite a few live-action adaptations right now.

These live-action fairy tales will arrive after Disney’s adaptations of The Jungle Book (April 2016) and Beauty and the Beast (March 2017).
