Captain America: The Winter Soldier pulled in $708 million at the box office worldwide, and now it’s headed to store shelves to pull in even more cash. Marvel released essentially their best sequel to date when Captain America: The Winter Soldier hit theaters back in April, and fans have been dying to own the film for home viewing.

Directed by the Russo brothers, the sequel was adored by fans and critics alike. It also broke the opening box office record for the month of April with $95 million. Below you’ll find the specifics of the DVD and Blu-ray release, including the bonus features and box art:

Blu-ray features:
· Making-of Featurettes

· Audio Commentary

· Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes

· Bloopers

· And More…

1-Disc DVD features:
· Making-of Featurette

· Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scene

“After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk.”

Fans may notice that there doesn’t appear to be a new Marvel One-Shot included on Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘s bonus features. Sadly, Marvel has now confirmed that there won’t be a new One-Shot included.

Marvel’s One-Shots have become highly anticipated short films lately, with “All Hail the King,” starring Sir Ben Kingsley, being praised by fans when it was released with Thor: The Dark World‘s DVD/Blu-ray. The One-Shot titled “Agent Carter,” featuring Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, is actually being turned into a new TV series.

Marvel has already announced that Captain America 3 will be directed by the Russo brothers again, and its release date is set for May 6, 2016, pitting it against Warner Bros.’ Batman v Superman at the box office.

We look forward to seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘s DVD/Blu-ray bonus features and viewing Marvel’s best sequel to date at home. Let us know if you plan on picking up the film on DVD or Blu-ray when it hits stores on September 9. The sequel’s digital download release date is set for August 19, nearly three weeks earlier than its normal release.
