“My name is Kim Nam Jun also known as RM, the leader of the group BTS. It is an incredible honor to be invited to an occasion with such significance for today’s young generation. And I would like to begin by talking about myself. I was born in Ilsan, city near Seoul South Korea. I spent a very happy childhood there and I was just an ordinary boy. I used to look up at the night sky in wonder and I used to dream the dreams of a boy. I used to imagine that I was a superhero who could save the world.” – Kim Namjoon

“I like that song the most because I don’t know, it’s just me. It’s me, how I want to express myself. I don’t know, I’m not sure… if I’ll get to write a song true to myself in the future again. So far, it’s the only song that expresses what I want to do the most and who I am most accurately.” – Kim Namjoon

“Me, RM, and Bang Si Hyuk PD was there. When we were making names, I said I want ‘Ho’ in my name so at first it was ‘J-Ho.’ We kept thinking and ‘J-Ho, J-Ho, J-Hope?’ That’s how we came up with my name. The meanings came after that. Pandora’s box was mentioned, and the last thing left in the box was hope. We were all like ‘Hope.’ Looking back, I think the name was the right choice. And I think the name made me who I am.” – Jung Hoseok

“Before, I thought the image of myself on the stage and off the stage. Meaning Jungkook the singer and Jungkook as a person was very different. It felt like that to me. I’m working on the differences, trying to be the same on or off stage.” – Jeon Jeongguk

“There are things I constantly think about. You know, the minor things. I can express my thoughts comfortably, but even that, I tend to jot it down and erase it. Things like that. Just in case.” – Park Jimin

“You know how they say, ‘One needs to love oneself first before loving others.’ I really love ARMY but I don’t think I loved myself that much until now. I’m trying to love myself right now. Fully understand what I have and think, ‘I’m happy with what I have and I love it.’ I’m trying to feel like that. And I’m working on it on my own.” – Kim Taehyung

“There are times when it’s difficult. It’s very… extremely flashy and the cheer from so many people and afterward, when it’s all over and I come down from the stage, it was really difficult before. It’s polar opposites. It was very difficult to endure that. Now, I’m not sure. Those moments just linger now.” – Park Jimin

“It’s not easy, even for the hottest stars in the U.S. right now. Ticket selling out in a day. Selling out in an hour. I was told there’s no other artist that can do that. Coming to concert is a big thing in a way. I see the faces of our fans from the stage. It seems like most of them are satisfied.” – Min Yoongi

“What surprised me during this tour was that there were people of all ages. The whole family at the concert, singing along… I believe there was a definite positive influence in that. It’s possible for parents to learn from the younger people. That there’s definitely some influence. Now they buy tickets on their own and come together with their kids.” – Min Yoongi

“I know it’s something I need to endure but I feel like I have to lead a moral life and just my life in general and I as a person have to be flawless?” – Min Yoongi

“It’s now exactly a month since we left Korea. I’m realizing once again on this tour that the 5:5 balance between work and hobby is important. I’m realizing that again. For sure. I tried playing games and go shopping and stuff… but since this psychological needs are not met, I feel like I was living a pretty balanced life in Korea. I know it can’t be helped due to the circumstances but it’s not easy.” – Kim Namjoon

“Nice room. A room in Wainscoting… I’m into interior designs. I get wild about lighting fixtures. Every time I find lighting I like went overseas, it’s all done by designer so I can’t buy it.” – Min Yoongi

“I know there are things I can give advice on being in the position that I’m in now but I’ve accomplish these things at a young age and I started work before my peers but I still am curious about people of my age. How they are living, what they are thinking, what are their goals and dreams? What I can do at the moment and be of help to them is music. A song that can encourage and comfort them during hard times. That kind of voice.” – Jeon Jeongguk

“It’s hard to define it but for me, when it comes to my dark side, I think I tried to look into it in more depth. Delving into it constantly. But I didn’t like going on the stage with that kind of mindset and I didn’t. It’s so nice performing on stage but afterwards, The same thing runs through my mind for the rest 21 hours. So I thought, ‘What do I do?’ I’m not quite sure yet. Not yet. But I think I do know something. You know, that feeling you get. That you know… and that somehow I will find the answer.” – Kim Namjoon

“I do it for that. Waiting for this moment. ‘What would they think of this music? How will they respond?’ That’s what keeps me going.” – Kim Namjoon

“BTS has become artists performing in huge stadiums and selling millions of albums right now. But I am still an ordinary, twenty four year old guy. If there’s anything that I’ve achieved, it was only possible that I had my other BTS members right by my side, and because of the love and support of our ARMY fans all over the world made for us. And maybe I made a mistake yesterday, but yesterday’s me is still me. Today I am who I am, with all my faults and mistakes” – Kim Namjoon
