This week The Voice’s own Blake Shelton will pull double duty as the host and musical guest of SNL. Check out his latest promos with current cast member Cecily Strong.
In the video, Shelton reminds Adam Levine that he’s hosting SNL and Levine isn’t (despite Levine having hosted SNL previously!) while cackling into the camera. In another clip from the video, Cecily Strong tries to convince Shelton that she is from the south by hitting almost every stereotype you can think of before admitting she’s actually from Illinois.
Earlier this week it was announced that Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee J.K. Simmons would host SNL on January 31 with musical guest D’Angelo and The Vanguard. Simmons stars in the critically-acclaimed movie Whiplash which has also been nominated for an Academy Award.
