After a long summer of battles we’ve narrowed it down to four couples. Hypable’s BattleShips continues with the first semi-final, pitting Keith & Lance from Voltron against Victor & Yuuri from Yuri on Ice.
Hypable’s BattleShips is a shipping competition that we began back in 2012, and it’s been a tradition we’ve done to celebrate all the epic couples in our favorite TV shows.
Each year we pick a theme for BattleShips. We’ve put the runner-ups against each other and we had one with exclusively book ships. This year we’re going back to basics!
This year we’ve had couples from currently airing TV shows, and it’s been a wild ride! CW shows and their immense fandoms have propelled The 100 and Supergirl all the way through to the semi-finals, where the winner will move on to the final battle for a chance to be Hypable’s Ship of the Year.
In 2014 Sherlock‘s Molly & Sherlock won the title, so who will be the couple to take the crown? You get to vote and help decide!
In today’s semi-final round, we have Keith & Lance from Voltron against Victor & Yuuri from Yuri on Ice. The poll will be open for 48 hours from the time it was posted.
Voltron and Yuri on Ice fans have two days to battle it out and see which ship can get the most votes.
However, if you or your fandom decide to find out ways to cheat, scam or con your way to the next round, we will crown the other ship winner of the round.
We have our eyes on all the social networks and we’ll be able to figure out if your fandom is cheating or using bots to send in votes, so don’t ruin it for everyone!
Sudden Death
In our final stages of BattleShips we’ve decided to eliminate the Sudden Death round. It’s time to take off the gloves and really rally your fandom to win in the first 48 hours, because there are no second chances in our semi-finals or finals!
Every single vote counts, so be sure to spread the word if your OTP has to battle it out again — use Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and any other means to make sure your favorite couple wins.
