Due to both sides being caught cheating using bots and fake accounts to garner thousands of votes each, this round has been re-posted for a second attempt at a fair competition.
Hypable’s BattleShips is a shipping competition that we began back in 2012, and it’s been a tradition we’ve done to celebrate all the epic couples in our favorite TV shows.
Each year we pick a theme for BattleShips. We’ve put the runner-ups against each other and we had one with exclusively book ships. This year we’re going back to basics!
This year we’ve had couples from currently airing TV shows, and it’s been a wild ride! CW shows and their immense fandoms have propelled The 100 and Supergirl all the way through to the semi-finals, where the winner will move on to the final battle for a chance to be Hypable’s Ship of the Year.
In 2014 Sherlock‘s Molly & Sherlock won the title, so who will be the couple to take the crown? You get to vote and help decide!
In today’s semi-final round, we have Keith & Lance from Voltron against Victor & Yuuri from Yuri on Ice. The poll will be open for 48 hours from the time it was posted.
Voltron and Yuri on Ice fans have two days to battle it out and see which ship can get the most votes.
Why is this round happening again? Yesterday we discovered that both sides have been using thousands of fake accounts as well as bots to usurp the competition. Because of this we’ve decided to give each side another chance at a fair battle, without the use of bots or fake accounts.
If both sides continue to cheat then we will be forced to disqualify both, and neither side will win.
Sudden Death
In our final stages of BattleShips, we’ve decided to eliminate the Sudden Death round. It’s time to take off the gloves and rally your fandom to win in the first 48 hours because there are no second chances in our semi-finals or finals!
Every single vote counts, so be sure to spread the word if your OTP has to battle it out again — use Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and any other means to make sure your favorite couple wins.
