This might shock you, but Avengers: Endgame brought in a ton of money at the box office on its opening night.

It looks like the whole world is terrified of spoilers, because pretty much everyone flocked to the movie theater to see Avengers: Endgame as early as possible. The movie, which serves as the conclusion for the current phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and wrapped up the stories of some of our favorite heroes, brought in a whopping $156.7 million domestically on its opening night.

Worldwide, the film currently stands at $643.7 million. According to Variety, Endgame is projected to make an additional $280 million this weekend, domestically.

Avengers: Endgame’s opening day box office haul obliterates that of Infinity War, which brought in only $106 million on the first night. With $156.7 million, the latest Avengers movie beats the record currently held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which earned $119 million on its first outing. We’re sure the movie will only continue to break records, and will likely beat out the current standing highest grossing MCU movie, Black Panther.

Since basically everyone has already seen the movie, does that mean we can start openly discussing spoilers now? No? Fine.
