While we’ve seen concept art of The Vision, played by Paul Bettany in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, we finally have our first official look at the character from The Avengers’ sequel.

We’ve seen concept art of the character before, but we can definitely tell that the studio has taken design cues from actor Paul Bettany, who apparently did most of the film work with makeup and a full costume on. Surprisingly, no one got any sneak peeks of the actor on set, but these shots give us an idea of what we can expect to see on screen.

The Vision was created in the comics by Ultron, but many fans wondered whether Ultron would actually turn out to be an angry Jarvis in The Avengers sequel after Avengers animatics artist Federico D’Alessandro released some unused videos that showed he was disgruntled to find out he was becoming more intelligent than Tony Stark.

The most recent teaser for Age of Ultron was action-packed, but the latest TV spots may give it a run for its money. Never before have so many exciting scenes been shown in such a short period of time and it all feels so cohesive. Marvel’s doing a great job promoting The Avengers’ sequel, and we look forward to what’s to come.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s first trailer was incredibly well received, with a much darker tone than expected, and the second trailer followed a similar path, but certainly ramped up the excitement.

Marvel also released a couple of TV spots last week, which had quite a bit of new footage, so be sure to check them out if you happened to miss their release.

Expect an insane amount of promotion for Avengers: Age of Ultron during the next few weeks, as we approach the film’s U.S. release on May 1 and now China’s recently revealed release date on May 12. The Avengers’ sequel may very well be the most anticipated sequel of all time, especially for Marvel fans, and the studio will be going all out with Age of Ultron promotion over the next few weeks.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in theaters in the U.S. on May 1, 2015, with its follow-up being Avengers: Infinity War, which has been split into two parts.
