Adam Savage is teaming up with Discovery to bring the fun of Mythbusters to a new generation of kids with the new show Mythbusters Jr.

Mythbusters was one of those shows that was just utterly addicting to watch. And while it’s been off the air for a few years now, Adam Savage has decided to bring the show back, but direct it more towards kids.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, Mythbusters Jr. will focus on six, young geniuses working to bust myths. These six kids will get the chance to show off their skills in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) over the season’s 10 episode run as they work to separate fact from myth.

Savage will not only be playing the host of the show, but he’ll also act as a sort of mentor for the kids. As they work out ways to test theories and find the truth behind each myth, Savage will be there to help guide them.

This new incarnation of Mythbusters is absolutely brilliant. While the original show lasted for 14 years and earned 8 Emmy nominations, it really kept audiences as passengers on the search for truth. Mythbusters Jr. will allow kids to take the wheel, get creative, and exercise their knowledge and creativity to solve problems and search for facts.

And with Adam Savage being basically a big kid himself, Discovery couldn’t have picked a better individual to host this show. Though we’d be lying if we said we aren’t crossing our fingers for at least one Jamie Hyneman appearance.

We’re so excited to check out Mythbusters Jr. when it premieres on Discovery later in 2018. A whole new generation is about to get to enjoy the Mythbusters fun, and we can’t wait to see what adventures Adam Savage has in store for the kids on the show and us!
