The international trailer for Wonder Woman has revealed some brand new footage from the highly anticipated DC movie.
It’s a safe bet to say that Wonder Woman is one of the most anticipated DC superhero flicks, but it’s probably also got most of Marvel’s offerings beat.
The world is ready for Gal Gadot to lead the first ever female-centric superhero movie, and 2017 couldn’t come soon enough.
Luckily there’s a brand new trailer for the movie, albeit dubbed in Russian for international audiences. The focus is on the action, of which there’s a lot more of than we’ve previously seen, and it’s definitely worth a look:
Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and also stars Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Chris Pine, Florence Kasumba, David Thewlis, and more.
Official synopsis for ‘Wonder Woman’
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.
The movie is described as an origin story for the legendary DC hero, whom we saw fighting side by side with Batman and Superman in Batman v Superman. She’ll also be back for Zack Snyder’s superhero team-up Justice League, coming in November 2017.
It takes place during World War I, set partly in Themiscyra and partly in our world. While Diana is an ordinary warrior among her own people, her powers make her a superhero in ours. But will she want to partake in another world’s war?
Wonder Woman premieres June 2, 2017.
