This Friday’s new issue of Entertainment Weekly contains a look at The Walking Dead season 4’s three lead stars.
Rick, Carl, and Daryl look their most bad-ass in these three new looks. It is the first time we’re seeing Carl in a photo for season 4.

In a brief interview found on EW’s site this morning, executive producer Greg Nicotero says that 150 zombie extras were used for episode 1. We also receive a “mid-October” time frame for the season 4 premiere.
And there’s also a new threat hitting the survivors and it’s mysterious. “The new threat is something you can’t just stab in the face,” said the series’ new showrunner Scott Gimple. “You can’t talk sense to it. You can’t make a truce with it. It’s beyond all that. It would be a threat in any world, but in this world it is much more terrifying.”
It’s been a while since a shocking new threat outside of humans or zombies came along, so we’re looking forward to seeing what the show is cooking up. We miss big surprises like hearing that everyone is infected.
The Walking Dead season 4 cast and crew will descend upon Comic-Con this week to unveil the first trailer for the show. We expect a specific air date to be shared too. Hypable will be covering everything Comic-Con and The Walking Dead, so stay tuned!
Thanks, EW.
