For all you Elijah fans, Showtime will be airing two movies by The Vampire Diaries star Daniel Gillies this May: Broken Kingdom and the related documentary, Kingdom Come.
While The Vampire Diaries viewers wait for The Originals spinoff, which will hopefully be picked up by The CW this fall, there’ll soon be a way to get an Elijah fix elsewhere!
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Showtime will be airing Broken Kingdom, a movie directed by and starring Daniel Gillies, on May 15 at 8:30 PM.
Broken Kingdom follows two separate storylines: a 14-year-old street girl and an American writer discover an uncommon union in the slums of Bogota, while an L.A. daycare teacher does everything she can to fight the weight of a tragic secret. The film also stars Gillies’ wife Rachael Leigh-Cook.
Showtime will also air a documentary which shows how the film was made, titled Kingdom Come, directed by Paiman Kalayeh and John Lyons Murphy. This will air ahead of the film itself, at 7 PM on the same evening.
Are you going to be checking out these two films?
The Vampire Diaries 4×20 “The Originals” airs tomorrow night at 8/7c on The CW. It will serve as a pilot of sorts for The Originals, so don’t miss it!
