Cisco got his own nickname tonight on The Flash and we can’t help but agree with it!
Finding Eddie
Barry meets with Iris at Jitters and he still hasn’t found Eddie. He gets a call from Cisco who meets with him, Caitlin and JoE at the lab. Cisco wants to know why Wells pretended to have a wheelchair, and he discovers that Wells had a hidden battery in it and that’s why he was so much faster than Barry.
The particle accelerator then turns on and they find out that Wells has been hiding in Star Labs the entire time, so Joe, Barry and Cisco go down to search for him. Wells runs out of the accelerator and Barry chases him but then the prisoner release protocol is activated, and the girl who can teleport gets let out of her cell. She escapes and traps Joe and Cisco in the accelerator but before she can get away she’s stopped by Iris.
Barry is unable to catch up to Wells because he’s so much faster but Joe and Iris do manage to find Eddie.
Time to move
Eddie explains that Wells said they were family, and his real name was Eobard Thawne. Eddie doesn’t explain much else before he says he wants to go home and rest, and when he does Cisco realizes that Wells installed a futuristic battery (much like his wheelchair’s) that is the reason the particle accelerator is turning back on.
Cisco explains that if the accelerator is turned on while the metahuman prisoners are in there they’re going to die, so Barry wants to send them all to Lian Yu. Joe thinks people are going to notice if a bunch of metahumans are being transported, so Barry sends him on a plan to talk to someone at the precinct. Unfortunately the woman Joe talks to isn’t supportive, so Joe has to figure something else out.
Barry says that Argus has a transport plane that can take the metahumans to Lian Yu and all they need to do is get them to the airfield.
An unlikely alliance
Barry meets up with Captain Cold and asks his help to transport the metahumans out of the city. Snart agrees but tells him he wants money in return, but Barry can’t afford what he requests so Snart says he’ll think about what else he wants and get back to him.
Barry goes back to the lab and tells everyone he went to ask Snart for help, and Joe is pissed. Then Snart shows up and requests that all of his criminal records and everything about him gets erased from everything forever. Barry agrees, but Joe goes to talk to Barry to tell him how ludicrous it is. Barry explains that he will do anything to make sure the people Wells hurt don’t die.
Barry does as Snart asks and Snart introduces his sister to help them. Cisco manages to get a truck that he’s outfitted with tech to make the metahumans powerless whilst inside, Snart’s sister agrees to drive and they all get on their way to transport the prisoners.
And a predictable betrayal
Like any idiots in a good comic book, no one decides to handcuff or gag the prisoners so when they wake up in the truck they all start chatting about how to get out. When they get to the airfield the truck starts losing power and all of the prisoner’s abilities start coming back.
The Argus plane is landing when a storm comes out of nowhere and strikes one of its engines, making it crash. Then it becomes a battle of the metahumans as they all start attacking, affecting Caitlin and everyone else. Snart shows up and tells them to call it a tie because he was the one to let them all go.
Four against one
At the labs, Barry was upset that Snart used him. Joe explains that he’s not the kind of hero like Oliver Queen, but he’s different because he knows the difference between right and wrong. Cisco then realizes that the particle accelerator is now online.
Eobard shows up at Star Labs and and confronts Barry outside, but then Barry brings along his friends Oliver and Ronnie to help him defeat the reverse flash.
The battle is epic and Oliver uses some epic tech to disable Eobard’s speed but it only works for a little bit, but thankfully he, Barry and Ronnie are able to take Eobard down with an arrow.
Relationship problems
When Iris helps rescue Eddie she discovers the engagement ring he bought for her. Later in the episode when they talk again she asks him about it and why he hasn’t proposed since Eddie says that Eobard showed him his future and that Iris marries Barry instead.
So Iris confronts Eddie again, and he says there isn’t anything else to say but Iris disagrees. However, Eddie says that he’s always known how Iris feels about Barry and he just hoped he could love her enough to change that, but nope. They end up breaking up right there and then.
