American Horror Story‘s Sarah Paulson could be the eighth member of the all-female Ocean’s Eleven spinoff Ocean’s Ocho.
Two weeks ago we reported that Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Awkwafina had joined known members Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett in Ocean’s Ocho, the female-led spinoff/sequel to the Ocean’s Eleven series from the early 2000s.
Now, Deadline has learned that we might have our last member of the titular eight: Sarah Paulson, best known from Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, is reportedly in talks to star.

Paulson is nominated for two Emmys this year: One for AHS: Hotel (Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie), and one for The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie).
Ocean’s Ocho will be directed by The Hunger Games‘ Gary Ross. The plot reportedly revolves around a NY Met Gala, which Danny Ocean (George Clooney) will likely get the all-female team to break into.
Via Variety:
“Plot details are vague other than the film following a similar path from the George Clooney pic about a group of thieves and con (women) led by Bullock who embark on a plan to pull off a major heist.”
The new Ocean’s film is set to debut in 2017, a full 10 years after the last installment of the Clooney-Pitt trilogy. Those movies’ director Steven Soderbergh will be on hand as producer.
Ocean’s Eleven was itself a reboot of the 1960 classic of the same name, starring several members of the infamous Rat Pack.
