The Once Upon a Time showrunners Kitsis and Horowitz have extended their contract to stay with the series, should it be renewed.
Once Upon a Time has not even entered its second season yet, but the showrunners are already being locked in for several more years. Variety reports:
The duo will remain at Disney for an additional three years, but that could extend to a fourth year should “Once” be granted a third season in 2013-14. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This is by no means a guarantee that the series will be renewed, but it seems like a good sign that the company has faith in Once, and in the showrunners’ ability to handle the responsibility!
