The Back to the Future stars recently reunited to voice their characters for the epic Lego Dimensions game!
Lego Dimensions sounds like a fanboy or -girl’s wet dream: the multi-level game will allow you to smash and build your way through classic franchises like Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, Scooby-Doo, The Simpsons and Back to the Future — and the voice cast is insane.
The biggest scoop for Lego is getting Michael J. Fox to reprise his role as Marty McFly; Christopher Lloyd is also returning as Doc. Fox, who has been living with Parkinson’s Disease for many years, has been mainly steering clear of the Back to the Future franchise, so this is pretty awesome.
Check out the trailer for the game, featuring Fox and Lloyd:
Did we mention that the Lego Dimensions voice cast is insane? Consequence of Sound has discovered via IMDb that the Ghostbusters stars Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson will also lend their voices to this game, and Lego will also use recordings of the late Harold Ramis for Dr. Egon Spengler.
Doctor Who is represented by latest Doctor Peter Capaldi, while Chris Pratt will lend his voice to both his Lego Movie and Jurassic World characters. Joel McHale is our robot guide through the game, the cast of Portal pops up, and oh, you might recognize some small stars like Elizabeth Banks, Alison Brie, J.K. Simmons and Charlie Day in there as well.
In Lego Dimensions you have three playable characters: Gandalf, Batman, and Lego Movie‘s Wyldstyle. You travel through a trans-dimensional gateway, Kingdom Hearts-style, visiting different worlds as seen in previous Lego games.
Lego Dimensions will be released on September 27, 2015. It’s available on Wii U, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
