Inside Amy Schumer isn’t coming back to Comedy Central, according to the star herself.
Update: Schumer has sent out a few tweets which confirm the show is not canceled. The show has been renewed for a fifth season — but it’ll be a while before we get to see it:
#InsideAmySchumer is not cancelled. @ComedyCentral has provided us with a wonderful home and we couldn't be happier there. I am just touring

Original story: Take this news with a grain of salt until we hear from the network itself, but according to Amy Schumer’s Twitter announcement, her Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer is over:
I didn't fire Kurt. He isn't a writer for my show because we aren't making the show anymore. There are no writers for it.

In the tweet, Schumer is referring to the recent controversy surrounding writer-comedian Kurt Metzger, whose tweets mocking female victims of sexual assault prompted massive social media backlash.
Metzger was a writer on Schumer’s self-titled comedy show, and the outrage directed at her for continuing to employ him prompted her to publicly condemn his comments.
“I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger. He is my friend and a great writer and I couldn’t be more against his recent actions,” she wrote, shortly before making her apparent announcement about the future of Inside Amy Schumer.

Because she is now implying that not only is Kurt Metzger not returning to write the show — there is, in fact, no longer a show to return to.
This is puzzling, since Comedy Central announced earlier this year that the show has been renewed for a fifth season.
Inside Amy Schumer season 4 ended in June. The comedy sketch show brought us many hilarious and poignant moments, but perhaps none as iconic as the “Last Fuckable Day” with Tina Fey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Patricia Arquette:
Comedy Central also recently cancelled Larry Wilmore’s The Nightly Show.
