In September we had shared with you a Harry Potter collectors item that appeared on Amazon costing $800.
Now the product has been formally announced, and the actual price tag is even higher.
Harry Potter: Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey is an “immersive, nearly 1,500 page tour of the Harry Potter films” set to be released December 4. It is limited to 3,000 copies worldwide and will be available in bookstores and on Amazon’s website.
As you can tell from the just-released photo, each of the eight books in the set are designed to resemble “books from the library shelves at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.” Included is the iconic Monster Book of Monsters.

Though it retails for $1,000, Amazon is offering it for pre-order at a 40% discount. This brings the cost down to $600 – still very expensive.
This is easily one of the most expensive pieces of Harry Potter merchandise to date, and a product only the truest (and richest) of fans will be able to enjoy. Fans were up in arms over the expensive price of Harry Potter Wizards Collection – the complete film box set – earlier this year, so we’re sure this new item and price won’t go over well.

Harry Potter: Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey has a release that is obviously timed for the Holiday shopping season. Will you be adding it to your wish list?
